Welcome To Mrs. Lane's Website

Hi! My name is Lisa Lane. This is my eighth year teaching at Huron Academy, and my fifth year teaching third grade. I previously taught Kindergarten, fourth, and sixth grades here at Huron. I received a Bachelors Degree from Oakland University, and I am currently working on obtaining a Masters Degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University.

Please make sure that you have read the "Third Grade Yellow Pages" that was sent home at the beginning of the year. (You either picked them up at Open House or your child brought them home on the first day of school). The "Yellow Pages" explain some of the policies and procedures in third grade. We put everything in ABC order for you to use it as a quick reference throughout the year when needed.

Responsibility is a huge goal that we will work on throughout the year. Please help your child work on this important character trait by reminding them to make sure that all their work is completed and turned in on time every day. All of their work will be written in their planners, which they should use to help them keep track of their work.

There may be days when Huron Academy will be closed due to weather condtions. Please watch the local new stations for school closings. If you see Utica Community Schools are closed, Huron Academy will also be closed. Huron Academy will not be listed seperately. When Huron Academy is closed due to the weather, there will be NO before or after care provided.
